It has been 10 years (yes, really!) since the first ever Coubrough/Cowbrough Internation Family
Reunion, ran in Kingston,
Ontario, Canada in August 2001. It went so well that a second one followed in
April 2003, in Katikati, New Zealand, a third in August 2005, in the Coubrough/Cowbrough home
territory of Stirling, Stirling, Scotland, and a fourth in August 2001 in
Troy, Michigan, USA. After a few delays, the fifth edition has at last
been scheduled for the summer of 2011 in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. Hope you can join us for the social event of the year.
When: Saturday, 30 July -- Monday, 1
August 2011 (August long weekend in
Alberta)
Where: Springbrook Room, Hampton Inn
Gasoline Alley, Highway 2, Red Deer, Alberta,

Who: All Coubroughs, Cowbroughs,
their descendants, their ancestors, their friends, anyone who has a
Coubrough or Cowbrough anywhere in their family tree and anyone who
admits to even knowing a Coubrough is welcome. No matter how you spell your
Coubrough name, we want to meet you!
What: The plan is for three days of informal visiting, with displays of local
and family history, old photographs, family trees, etc. Don't forget
to bring your own family photos, and stories. (Please have copies made of
old photos; we don't want to risk loss or damage of your precious
originals.) The exact program has not yet been determined.
Meals will be available ("pay as you go") from an
on-site restaurant, though there is a welcome dinner planned for the
Saturday evening, and possibly a farewell dinner on the Monday.
There is plenty of hotel and bed & breakfast accommodation
available, with party-goers responsible for their own arrangements. A
small block of rooms has been reserved at the Hampton Inn. There is a
small discount if you book
on-line but they must be booked before
30 June. Be sure to book early:
Red Deer's accommodations fill up fast in summer.
How much: The registration fee
includes the cost of renting the
facility, displays, administrative costs, farewell dinner, etc. Canadian or
US dollars in cheques or bank drafts only, please. All prices
are in Canadian dollars:
Adults: $90.00 for the three days
($35.00 per day)
Children 11 - 16: $50.00
($20.00 per day)
Children 10 and under: Free,
but must be registered
